Serving Opportunities

City Hope is a vibrant growing community church and therefore has many opportunities to serve. If you are interested in helping out in any of the following areas then please click on the main heading:

Welcome and Integration Teams: Giving a warm welcome and helping people find their place in the church.
Stewarding: Ensuring the smooth running of our regular meetings
Worship Bands: musicians, singers and worship leaders.
Audio Visual Team: Operating and maintaining the A/V equipment for different meetings.
Youth Work: Serving Mixed-Up, youth smallgroups or Sunday youth.
Children’s Work: Baby Club, Mini Club and Sunday Club.
Outreach: A variety of activities from Fab Friday to Saturday Kids Club and Alpha.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Lots of opportunities for those with specific practical skills or just an ability to clean!

Becoming a Member

Why Membership?

That’s a good question and the answer is quite simple: The leaders of the church need to know who they are responsible for. God holds leaders to account (Heb.13v.17) for those in their care. Any team needs to know who are the players and who are just spectators!

The benefits of membership:

Care and input from others in the church so we can grow and mature in Christ together.
The opportunity to develop gifting and a context to use those gifts that God gives us.
The knowledge that the leaders will treat you with respect and dignity to the best of their ability.

The responsibilities of membership:

To be fully committed to the vision and values of the church.
To be fully committed to Sunday meetings, small groups and church prayer meetings
To contribute (where you can) practically and financially.
