Being the People of God in a post-Christian Society

We have just finished a six part sermon series entitled 'Being the People of God in a post-Christian Society'.

Looking at the first letter from the apostle Peter in the New Testament, we saw various ways that the pre-Christian society of his time has similarities with our 'post-Christian' society.

We looked at what it means to be 'exiles' or travellers through this world, keeping our distinctiveness and our identity as God's children.

As we were reflecting on this in a staff coffee break this week, we remembered the message Dr Dave Landrum preached back in November last year.

Dave Landrum works for the Evangelical Alliance as Director of Advocacy, and he came to City Hope and preached an engaging and provoking message to encourage the church to speak up for the gospel, in every arena, in this post-Christian society.

If you missed it, I recommend it. If you heard it, you may want to listen again in light of what we've recently heard on Sundays.

Here's the link.
